5/23/2018 0 Comments Class ReflectionThroughout second semester Broadcast Technology 1 was a blast. The beginning was a bit rough because I though Mr.Goble was really aggressive, but the more I got to see him and talk to him he ended up being a very nice man and one of my favorite teachers. My favorite part of class were the days we got to fit because its really cool to see what you're able to do with the camera with the elements the teachers have taught. The things I didn't really like were the multiple blogs due on some days because some prompts required me to give an long response. My favorite project was the Interviewing one because it helped me not be so awkward during my final project interviews. Something i would have liked to do differently was to do better on the mini projects.
4/17/2018 0 Comments Everybody Has A StoryThe Video I watched is about a man who proposed to his wife over the phone, and sent her ring in the mail. The man lives in a town in Oregon. He has 2 kids and lives with his Wife Darcy. This man's name is Eric Colton. I like this video because it relates to how my mom got proposed to. My step-dad and I woke up early on a Friday one day, he pulled out a ring and asked me how I would feel if he asked her to marry him. I was fine with it because he was a genuinely nice man, but the plan backfired. We went to go get First Watch, and come home. The one thing he forgot in the car was the ring. My step-dad told my mom to go to the car and get his 'Jacket' but he had left the jacket with the ring in its pocket in the backseat. He ran to get it and asked her the big question and she said yes.
4/5/2018 0 Comments Interviewing a ProDuring the interview, I learned to ALWAYS CHECK THE CAMERA BATTERY BEFORE YOU LEAVE! I left the classroom before I checked any of my equipment and my camera ended up dying before I got to record. Mr.Goble also taught us how to interview a person comfortably. The interview was overall very fun, but it was hard to find some questions to ask. The interview was brief and straight to the point but it was a fun thing to do!3/9/2018 0 Comments Six Word StoryRecently we've been going over old videos created by upperclassmen and examining the shots and elements they added to their videos. Mr.Goble challenged us to make a video on a 6 word story. The first thing we we're taught about 6 word stories was an quote by the world renowned author, Ernest Hemmingway. Based off of his quote, we dissected the quote to see what the initial theme of it was, and once that was figured out we went on to create our own. Once our quote was created, we had to make a video of the 6 word story we came up with.
2/9/2018 0 Comments February 09th, 2018Today in Broadcast Technology, Mr. Gobel went through the steps of making a well edited movie. He introduced a new application to me, called "Final Cut Pro X'. At first the app was pretty confusing and hard to keep up with it, but I managed to finish it. I learned a lot of cool new movie elements, and How to detach audio from a clip. The project was about the camera scavenger hunt. It was over all a really fun project to do!1/29/2018 0 Comments Camera ShotsFor the last few days Mr.Gobel has been introducing the way the camera works and some shots that could take us a very long way. Wide,Medium and Tight. Wide is a far away shot that can show you the setting of the objective, Medium is a waist up shot of the character; and Tight is a close up on the character.
1/19/2018 0 Comments Broadcast TechnologyRecently in Broadcast Technology, Mr.Gobel has been giving us many entertaining assignments to work on. On the first day we went over an over view on what the class would be like for the first semester and the way he explained everything sounds really fun. Our first project has been very fun, and I hope for many more to come!
